Sunil leads the implementation of American Leprosy Missions’ five-year strategic plan in Asia. A leprosy expert and dermatologist, he has more than 34 years of field and clinical experience in leprosy including reconstructive surgery, and proven strategic leadership and program management skills. Before joining American Leprosy Missions, Sunil served as executive director of The Leprosy Mission Trust India, the oldest and largest leprosy-focused organization in India. He led a significant transformation of the organization with a diverse and highly professional management team bringing about strategic changes, repositioning it to influence policy and thinking at the national and state level, especially in relation to rights and livelihoods of persons affected by leprosy. Sunil is motivated by challenges and has a strong commitment to leaving a place better than it was before he arrived.
