Leslie Zolman PortraitLeslie supports the mission of American Leprosy Missions by using geographic information systems (GIS) to link disease information with environmental and spatial data. She creates interactive maps to visualize, interpret and display this multifaceted geolocated data.

Before joining ALM, Leslie worked for the World Health Organization in Ghana during the 2014-2015 Ebola outbreak, and for the Montana Department of Commerce, Census and Economic Information Center for seven years as the GIS coordinator and state data center lead. She also spent a year in Kenya as the World Health Organization Polio Division’s Horn of Africa GIS coordinator.

Leslie graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in microbiology and received a Master of Geographic Information Systems from Pennsylvania State University. She holds a geographic information systems professional (GISP) certification and received the Special Achievement in GIS Award from Esri in 2013.

Leslie is passionate about volunteer work and served as a board member for both GISCorps and the Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals for many years. She has also volunteered with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Review her interactive CV here.
