As the Director of Grants and Compliance, Abie ensures that projects are implemented—from the acquiring stage to completion—in compliance with the terms and conditions set by the donor or funder. After graduating with a B.S. in chemistry, Abie switched to literature for his M.A. He is a Certified Management Accountant and grants specialist. Abie has nearly two decades of experience with nonprofits in the Washington, D.C. area, and he resides just outside the capital in Greenbelt, Maryland. Abie’s hobbies are literature, languages, and amateur radio, for which he holds the call-sign AB!F. He also enjoys leading summer volunteer teams to Armenia through the Global Builders program of the Fuller Center for Housing.
